Just a couple of rules. Firstly, don't vote for yourself. That's just poor sportsmanship. Secondly, please don't solicite votes. You can ask people to vote, yeah, but do not ask people to vote for you. Also, please don't vote for your friend, but for the entry you think is best. I want a fair game.

This is, as the name implies, a contest about hybrids. Humanoid/animal ones, to be specific. Be it a lamia, a centaur, a mermaid, or something totally new, as long as it's part humanoid and part animal, this is the contest to be in. Any questions you may have can be directed to [Linderel].

RULES:

Any entries that do not meet these rules will face disqualification.

1. Must be made entirely by you. Collaborations are allowed.
2. All pieces must include some kind of hybrid, as described above.
3. Any and all mediums can be used.
4. Each entrant may submit up to three (3) pieces.
5. No explicit scenes of sex and/or violence, please.
6. Have fun!

JUDGING:

There will be three (3) winners by public poll, plus a host's favourite. Any person caught soliciting for votes will have their entry/entries disqualified. The same will happen if anyone votes for themselves. It is, however, permitted and even encouraged to advertise the contest and the poll so that we get as many votes as possible.
Also, please don't vote for your friend, but for the entry you think is best. I want a fair game.

PRIZES:

Each winner will receive a badge, and, if they so wish, the first by poll and the host's favourite can ask for a story or a poem, or a review of one of their own works, literary or visual. There will also be a badge for participants. See hybrid badges.

DEADLINE:

The contest will be closed on the 3rd of January, 2007, midnight ET time, or the next morning as soon as I get to the computer. Pieces sent to me in a message during the next day will still have a chance of being included in the poll, as long as they abide by the rules.

Malaggar Anvar, Duke of Dun Shadowkeep and uncle (on her mother's side) to my main rpg character Linnerial Morrigana Baerne.
It is perhaps not so obvious but Malaggar is a Shur-hybrid. Meaning that he's a half-Drow half-Demon, and a Balor at that. So in short: his mother was a Drow and his father was a Balor, a D&D Demon not unlike J.R.R's Balrogs.

Two hybrids in one pictures! It is one of my centaurs Vhandros and my main character Linnerial.
Vhandros is obviously half-horse half-human, being a centaur and all.
Linnerial is, just like her uncle above, one of the Shur. Her father was the Archmage Ilharn Ismir Baerne (yes younger brotherr to Gromph) and her mother was the Succubus Eldissha.

Well, This is a Negative angel- which means this kind of feathered creature appears only on the negatives of the photos and is invisible in daylights. Thoguh somethimes people see little white glare in their rooms at night...it's her:)
